In today’s interconnected world, no marketing campaign can be successful without making active use of social media. Following the success of previous years, the Silk Road Programme of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) will bring together official tourism representatives from Silk Road countries and tourism marketing experts to discuss recent social media trends and tools. Topics to be addressed will include strategies aimed at increasing the online profile of Silk Road tourism, and the challenges of transnational social media campaigns.
